I Will Take This Photo
I want to remember and never forget the total of faces the people I’ve met. I will take a photo on this crystal-clear day in hopes of a memory forever to stay. My journey I know will come to an end but I’ve captured you all through my lens. I remember both the young and the old the streets the walks all be told.
I want to remember and always recall getting lost through it all. I will take this photo as I grind and sweat not stopping at all for a moment's rest. Your presence here among the crowd is not concealed nor enshroud. I remember the movement both slow and fast not knowing at all will this last.
I want to remember and always look back thanking the LORD I was never attacked. I will take this photo although I should wait not every venture has been safe. In the absence of light the camera reveals what shadow and darkness attempt to conceal. I remember those who would do me harm yet I manage to keep my calm.
And off I go on another flight yet the memory made I always hold tight. I want to take stock of what I have done and wonder how it all begun. Not by chance was my path set aglow but with a command, “Get up and go!” I remember my youth with its wholesome desire the day that my courage was acquired.
